Who are the Trudel's?

We are the Trudel's, my husband Mike works in management and I work for a local school district. We have a 3 year old Shitzu named, Benny. We love lake life, vacationing, camping, and spending time with friends and family! We were always on the look out for our forever home on the lake in NH, and we finally found our dream home! 

Why did you decide to sell?

We sold because Karen was able to find us our dream lake location that was no more than an hour from our work location.  Everything had to be perfect and after 3 years of looking, it finally happened.  Karen helped us through 3 years of searching all over the state of New Hampshire! She trudged through snow, ice, and sleet, even with a broken wrist, as we  pursued every lead we had.   We knew it was time because the lake house in Northwood was perfect!

Why The Damon Home Team?

Suzanne Damon met me at my apartment building and did a tour with me and made me feel very comfortable about hiring her agency.  We proceeded to sign on with The Damon Home Team and have never looked back or regretted it.  The funny story is that Suzanne Damon called me and said she was going to assign the apartment building to a lady named Karen Rivard.  To be honest, I was not very happy originally, thinking I was getting this inexperienced rookie, but nothing could have been further from the truth.  She was amazing and has continued to be great. Karen is the best agent in the city and we will continue to refer her to family and friends. Thanks, Suzanne Damon, for giving us the BEST!


Best part of your selling experience?

We did not need to worry about anything as Karen was on top of it all.  She also provided great advice and we knew when to give in and when to hold firm.  Many times, we got upset or depressed about how things were going and she was always there to cheer us up and minimize the issues.  The advice we received was excellent and we always felt that Karen had what was best for us is mind.  She was always very prompt to answer questions, return phone calls and texts, any time of the day or night.

Most challenging part of the selling process?

The unknown was probably the worse feeling and wondering such things as “will we be able to sell our house”, “what will the home inspection find” and “will all the pieces come together?” Having a great agent in, Karen Rivard, surely took away all of those issues and made us feel very comfortable.  We were also afraid to let go of the home we had for 25 years and raised our 3 children in.  It has been our home for a long time and we had many wonderful memories there.  We were happy about going to our dream home, but apprehensive about leaving so many memories behind. Karen understood that and was there for us through all of our feelings.


Trudel's Top Selling Tip:

Listen to your agent and take all of their advice.  They want you to be successful and they know all the tricks.  Let them take a walk through your house and let them provide you advice on what to do and what not to do.  Also, make sure that you have kept your house maintained over the years. Understand that there may be roadblocks that occur, but never get down and listen to your agent.  Your emotions will go through ups and downs, but if you stick to your goal of selling, you will end on a high note.  Listen to your agent—They want what is best for you.
